Emma McGavisk is an Australian-based editor with experience working on numerous film and television series for networks such as ABC, SBS and the Seven and Nine Networks. She enjoys all aspects of editing but has a particular passion for documentary and factual storytelling.

In 2026, she was recognised as one of IF Magazine’s Rising Talents, earning a place on the publication’s annual Editors to Watch list.

In 2025, Emma received 3 Australian Screen Editors Guild Ellie Award nominations, including nominations for Best Editing in a Factual Series and Trailer Editing for Eat the Invaders (2025), on which she served as Co-Series Editor. She won the Ellie Award for Best Editing in Open Content for Kumarangk: The Hindmarsh Island Bridge (2025).

In 2023, she was honoured to be nominated for an Australian Screen Editors Guild Ellie Award for Best Early Career Editor.

Emma is an avid traveller and is always keen for new experiences. She loves music, dancing, and cats.
