Emma McGavisk is an Australian-based editor with experience working on numerous film and television series for networks such as ABC, SBS and the Seven and Nine Networks. She enjoys all aspects of editing but has a particular passion for documentary and factual storytelling.

In 2025 she received 3 Australian Screen Editor Guild Ellie Award Nominations, taking home the win for Best Editing in Open Content for Kumarangk: The Hindmarsh Island Bridge.

In 2023, she was honoured to be nominated for an Australian Screen Editors Guild Ellie Award for Best Early Career Editor.

In 2022, Emma edited Universal’s feature documentary ‘The Angels: Kickin’ Down The Door’ which premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival on opening night. The film opened in cinemas Australia wide in December 2022.

She has also worked on numerous film and television series, including the SBS documentary ‘Black Empire’ (2022), the Channel 9 TV special ‘My Underwater World’ (2024), and co-edited the ABC funded short series ‘Deadly Family Portraits’ (2019).

Emma is an avid traveller and is always keen for new experiences. She loves music, dancing, and cats.
